Sully Historic Site is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Virginia. It is located in a highly affluent part of the state, but it feels like another time and place. Sully Historic Site is also known as the “Gateway to Virginia.” Sully Historic Site is named after Claude Thomas Sullivant. He was a successful businessman who donated much of his fortune to the construction of the area around his estate. He wanted to make it one of the most beautiful places in the state. Sully Historic Site is made up of six separate gardens. Visitors can get lost in the gardens while taking in the beauty of the spring, summer and fall seasons. The gardens are also a great place to take pictures. You can visit this amazing destination at 3650 Historic Sully Way, Chantilly, VA 20151.

Sully Historic Site was built in the 1890s. The gardens and estates in the area were built at the same time. Sully Historic Site is named after Claude Thomas Sullivant. If you visit in the summer, you can see the magnolias in bloom. The magnolias bloom in late June and early July. In fall, the colors at the estate are stunning. In November and December, the orange and red colors in the trees make the gardens even more gorgeous.
